Peaceful voices for Environmental Justice. 🌿 Today, environmentalists and concerned citizens of Mira-Bhayandar gathered outside the Office of the mbvv.police MBVV Commissioner of Police IPS Niket Kaushik sir to demand fair, transparent, and accountable investigations into environmental crimes. With over 200 environmental FIRs registered in the city over the years, citizens expressed concern that justice must not stop at filing cases. Every investigation must be impartial, every responsible person must be held accountable, and the law must be applied equally to all. A detailed representation was submitted to the Commissioner of Police seeking an inquiry into alleged irregularities in two environmental cases, a review of the investigations, and a Special Investigation / Special Audit of environmental crime cases registered between 2005 and 2026.
