The Rev. Dr. Jason R. Curry ’92 has returned to The House as the second dean of the Martin Luther King Jr. International Chapel. Following a national search, Dr. Curry succeeds founding Dean Rev. Dr. Lawrence Edward Carter Sr., who retired this summer after 47 years of service to Morehouse College. A pastor, educator, and higher education administrator, Dr. Curry previously served as dean of Fisk Memorial Chapel, where he also held leadership roles in academic affairs and religious life. As a Morehouse alumnus, scholar and faith leader, Dr. Curry brings more than two decades of experience in higher education to one of the most consequential pulpits in American higher education. As the College prepares to welcome a new class of students for New Student Orientation, Dr. Curry shares his vision for the Chapel and his return to The House.
