North Dakota State has always been a threat 😤 The Bison entered their 2016 matchup against No. 13 Iowa as one of the most dominant FCS programs in the country, but beating a ranked Big Ten team at Kinnick Stadium would be a completely different challenge. Iowa took a 21-14 lead into the fourth quarter, but the Bison refused to go away. North Dakota State put together a 15-play, 80-yard touchdown drive to cut the deficit to one, then forced a three-and-out to get the ball back with 1:45 remaining. Easton Stick quickly moved the Bison into Iowa territory, setting up Cam Pedersen for a 37-yard field goal with just five seconds left. And he delivered. The kick sailed through the uprights as time expired, giving North Dakota State a stunning 23-21 victory over the Hawkeyes and sending the Bison sideline into chaos.
