South Africa's post office went into business rescue. Kenya's letter volumes fell about 90% in four years. nampostnamibia became a bank instead. Mail was over 90% of the business in 2009. Today it is about 7% of revenue, and 77% comes from financial services, on a N$6.4 billion deposit book, plus a loan book close to N$800 million through postfin_namibia.
