Congrats to RubberDucks outfielder Ryan Cesarini who was named Eastern League Player of the Week for Week 20, August 10 – 16.
Cesarini picked up nine hits in four games played against the Altoona Curve batting .474 (9-for-19) with six home runs and 11 RBI. He led the Eastern League during the week in batting average, home runs, RBI, slugging percentage (1.421), OPS (1.921), hits, extra-base hits (six) and total bases (27).
In the series opener on Tuesday, August 11, Cesarini hit three home runs becoming the first Akron batter to have a three-homer game since Bobby Bradley on June 27, 2017 against Erie.
This is the third time in 2026 a RubberDucks player has earned Eastern League Player of the Week honors. Alfonsin Rosario was named Player of the Week in Week 10 and Week 14.
