There’s a particular kind of tired that doesn’t show up on a scan. You don’t talk about it much because it’s hard to explain to someone who hasn’t lived it. But you carry it every single day, quietly, and you keep showing up anyway. Here’s what I’ve learned, both as someone trained in this and as a mum who’s been exactly where you are: the exhaustion isn’t a sign you’re failing. It’s a sign of how much you’re holding. And it does shift. Slowly, then all at once. My own daughter went from years of mornings like this to walking into university on her own two feet. Not because I found more willpower. Because her body finally felt safe enough to stop fighting it. If you’re in the thick of it, I just want you to know it’s not permanent. It’s a season.
