I used to stay up till 1am school nights and read fanfics… Writing is a form of free speech. Many people write to express themselves, especially when they feel like they can’t publicly. Many women write “spicy” fics because that’s how they express their sexuality in a controlled safe environment.  I, as do many other women, feel most confident in their sexuality when they are reading others work or writing about desires because they feel connected to other women and can still express themselves under anonymity. Wattpad knows that a large portion of their users are women. And this feels like it is targeted towards that majority. #wattpad #fanfic #fangirl #censorship #harrystyles
