A tiny Welsh village was left outraged after it was revealed that the Home Office planned to house asylum seekers in its old village hall.
But now the government says it's listening to local concerns and has paused the plans. But will it be scrapped altogether?
Residents of Gronant have told GB News they were infuriated that they were in "complete shock" over the decision.
In response a Government spokesperson on behalf of the Home Office said: “We are working to fairly house asylum seekers across the country, working closely with local authorities, and listening to local concerns to reduce the impact on communities.
"We are closing every asylum hotel and moving asylum seekers into basic accommodation including ex-military sites."
