Today, we gathered as one St. X community for our first All-School Mass of the year, celebrating the feast day of St. Maximilian Kolbe. St. Maximilian lived with a deep trust in God. Through uncertainty, suffering, and ultimately the sacrifice of his own life for another, he chose faith over fear and love over self. His witness gives deeper meaning to our theme for this school year, Walking Forward in Trust. Like St. Maximilian, we are called to place our trust in God even when the path ahead is uncertain, to have the courage to put our faith into action, and to choose love in the way we serve and care for one another.
