The driver DROVE away after crashing & police had to look for the vehicle‼️😭🍺 Ottawa police say a vehicle was driven into The Beer Store on Baseline Road near Woodroffe Avenue around 3 p.m. Thursday afternoon. The driver allegedly left the scene before officers located them a short time later. Police say officers observed signs of impairment and arrested the driver after an Approved Screening Device test. Breath tests allegedly showed the driver’s blood alcohol level was more than three-and-a-half times the legal limit. The driver is now facing multiple charges, including impaired operation, dangerous operation, failing to stop after an accident and failing to comply with a release order. Even crazier, this same College Square Beer Store was crashed into by an SUV in July 2025, meaning vehicles have now crashed into the location twice in roughly 13 months.
