Ottawa drivers will soon be able to LEGALLY go FASTER on several MAJOR highways across the city‼️😳🚗 Starting Friday, August 21, the speed limit will increase from 100 km/h to 110 km/h on sections of Highway 416, Highway 417 and Highway 7 around Ottawa. The increase includes parts of Hwy. 417 between Leitrim Road and Ottawa Road 174, the 416/417 interchange to Highway 7, and Hwy. 416 toward Fallowfield Road. One section of Hwy. 417 between Leitrim Road and the 416/417 interchange will remain at 100 km/h. Ontario has gradually expanded 110 km/h limits across several highways since 2022.
