Black History ain’t just something we study. It’s something we’re still building. At the African American Museum, we got a chance to talk about the origins of Buy The Hood and why we made the decision to start teaching financial literacy to our babies. We spent years teaching adults about money, investing, business, taxes and ownership. Then Corey said something simple: “We gotta get to the babies.” That became part of the mission. Start them young. Let them SEE ownership. Let them SEE investing. Let them SEE entrepreneurship. Let them SEE Black people building wealth and taking action.
