โ๏ธKoenigsegg just revived one of its greatest unfinished racing stories with the 1,600-hp CCGT1, and all 70 cars were already allocated before the public ever saw it.
Built as a modern tribute to the original 2007 CCGT race car, the new machine uses the CC850 as its foundation but receives an extensively redesigned body and serious track-focused aero.
Its 5.0-liter twin-turbo flat-plane-crank V8 produces 1,280 hp on pump gas and up to 1,600 hp on E85, sending everything to the rear wheels.
Koenigsegg pairs it with its nine-speed Light Speed Transmission and a race-style sequential shifter positioned beside the steering wheel.
For owners who want something even more mechanical, the company can also fit its gated six-speed-style manual interface while retaining the underlying nine-speed transmission.
The aero package generates an incredible 800 kg of downforce at 250 km/h, with an active rear wing capable of switching between low-drag, high-downforce and air-brake configurations.
