Founding member of JHS, Henry Hamra, visited Syria in July as part of the Jewish Heritage in Syria Foundation (JHS), with the support of the Syrian Emergency Task Force (SETF). Following the fall of the regime, JHS and Hamra have returned several times to highlight the importance of preserving and restoring Syria’s Jewish heritage, while supporting the thousands of Syrian Jews living locally and throughout the diaspora. During his visit, Rabbi Hamra met with local leaders and got the chance to speak with French President Emmanuel Macron.
