According to the couple, once they parked their vehicle, agents approached and surrounded them while asking for identification. The couple says they initially declined to provide identification and later verified that they were U.S. citizens who were born and raised in Kansas City. The couple says they believe they should be able to peacefully record federal agents and their vehicles from a public location. The incident comes as ICE activity continues to draw attention across the Kansas City metro. Recent reporting has documented increased immigration enforcement and growing concerns among immigrant communities about visiting QuikTrip locations.
