This has always been a bucket list item so truly happy we got to experience Gymkhana for ourselves. The memory will definitely last for years to come. 👏🏽🇬🇧
The welcome was warm and the service was exceptional. It was also a treat to have a South African staff member look after us throughout the evening 😬🇿🇦
The starters set the scene perfectly. We recommend the popadoms just for the mint chutney! (9/10) The prawns were out of this world. (10/10) (At £50 I’m glad they were!) The chaat met our expectations (8.5/10), while the paneer tikka was the only dish we wouldn’t re-order (7/10). (Dhams found it a bit dry) 🍤🫡
The mains delivered and then some. We could see why the lamb chops are so celebrated. (10/10) (At £75 my dad asked if we got a sheep as well 🤣) The Goan prawn curry was out of this world - unlike anything we’ve ever eaten. (11/10)🤩
The butter chicken was delicious (8.5/10) , but I’d be just as happy with butter chicken from Ghazal (Bryanston) and Bihari (Newlands)...
