Another round of storms is likely today. The problem with today’s storms isn’t that they are expected to be as strong as what we saw on Tuesday.
The problem is everyone just started getting power back and cleaning up. Storms like this can easily knock out power and possibly do so for areas that lost it earlier this week.
There is a small risk for tornadoes. This storm has the same risk for tornadoes as the last. The risk is there but the risk just for small, short lived, spin up tornadoes.
Like we saw Tuesday these can be hard to see on radar, extremely short lived (less than 5 minutes in some cases) and hard to warn because they are so short lived.
Quick spin ups are more likely to develop in areas with single celled storms not the area where the storms come together into one of line.
But there is still a risk for brief areas of rotation in the line like we saw Tuesday.
