South Korea’s Incheon International Airport has overtaken London Heathrow to become the world’s busiest airport for the first time, based on passenger traffic. According to preliminary data from Airports Council International (ACI), 38.4 million passengers used Incheon Airport in the first six months of 2026, compared with 37.79 million at Heathrow.
