After someone finds out I’ve left Mormonism (and Christianity as a whole), they’ll ask, “So what are you now?” This is my answer: I am an OPTIMISTIC SHRUGIST. OPTIMISTIC, because I know the power of good, and I choose to prioritize and seek after good. SHRUGIST, because I do not know much more than I do know, and I do not pretend to know more than I do.
