On August 15, new historical evidence of Japan’s wartime crimes in China was donated to the Memorial Hall of the Victims in Nanjing Massacre by Japanese Invaders in Nanjing, China's Jiangsu Province.⁣ ⁣ The records, collected by Chinese youth and a young French descendant of victims, include private letters by Japanese soldiers, wartime sketches, photo albums, gas warfare training materials, and original copies of The Asahi Shimbun.⁣ ⁣ Saturday also marks the day of Japan's unconditional surrender in World War II.
