Today, on #WorldHumanitarianDay, we honour the people who show up, every day, wherever they are needed most. In times of crisis and uncertainty, humanitarians are here, supporting communities, saving lives, and standing alongside those facing unimaginable challenges. Yet far too often, those helping others are the ones facing the greatest risks. Attacks on humanitarian personnel are rising, with devastating consequences not only for aid workers and volunteers, but also for the communities that rely on them. Humanitarians keep showing up for us. They are Local, Everywhere, part of the communities they serve, helping their neighbours, friends and families when crises strike. It's time the world showed up for them.
