On Saturday #PHXFire joined Miguel Angulo’s family, friends, brothers and sisters of the fire service, and members of our community to dedicate a street sign in his honor. Miguel served the Phoenix Fire Department for 15 years, beginning his career in 2006. A Firefighter-Paramedic known for his compassion, dedication, and deep connection with his crew, Miguel made an impact that extends far beyond the firehouse. On September 6, 2021, Miguel passed away after contracting occupational COVID-19 while responding to an EMS call. Today, his name stands among the streets of the city he served as a lasting reminder of a firefighter, paramedic, father, partner, friend, and brother who gave so much.
