As June comes to a close, we proudly recognize National Dairy Month and thank the hardworking Utah dairy farmers who play a vital role in feeding our communities and supporting our state’s agricultural economy. Dairy farming has deep roots in Utah’s history, dating back to the mid-1800s. Today, Utah is home to over 150 dairy farms and produces more than 2 billion pounds of milk annually. Dairy is one of the top five agricultural commodities in the state, contributing significantly to both rural economies and Utah’s overall food supply. UDAF is proud to support the dairy industry through our regulatory and inspection programs that ensure the safety, quality, and sustainability of dairy products from farm to consumer.
