Introducing Duncan Lyle duncanlyle, one of this year’s Creative Movers Choreographic Initiative (CMCI) recipients, who will bring his choreographic voice to the Joffrey Concert Group with a new work premiering at In My Art in February 2027. Born in Melbourne, Australia, Duncan began his ballet training at Camberwell District Ballet before continuing his studies at The Royal Ballet School. After graduating in 2010, he joined Boston Ballet and later American Ballet Theatre, where he has performed a wide-ranging repertoire by some of ballet’s most celebrated choreographers. Alongside his career as a dancer, Duncan has developed his own choreographic practice, creating works for American Ballet Theatre Incubator, New York Theatre Ballet, CoLab Dance, The Royal Ballet School, Columbia Ballet Collaborative, and more.
