I think access is your biggest asset. Find friends or family and figure out a way to photograph the things they do. From sports to music to travel. Build connections in the industries you want to pursue. Obviously you need to have a good base of work so shoot spec projects and pitch with those. People hire you for the things they see. Even if you know you’ll do a good job, show them first.
