The kids might be back at school, but it sure feels like summer outside. This is how we’re cooling off 👇 Ingredients: - 8 cups fresh blackberries (about 2 lb., 6 oz.), plus more for garnish - 2/3 cup packed light brown sugar - 1/2 tsp. kosher salt - 1 tsp. grated lemon zest plus 1 1/2 tsp. fresh juice (from 1 medium lemon) - 1 tsp. vanilla extract - 1 (14-oz.) can sweetened condensed milk - 2 cups heavy whipping cream - Fresh mint Directions: 1. Bring blackberries, brown sugar, and salt to a simmer in a large saucepan over medium. Cook, crushing berries using a potato masher and stirring often, until slightly thickened and reduced by about half, about 20 minutes. Pour mixture through a fine mesh strainer into a large heatproof bowl, pressing solids to release as much liquid as possible; discard solids.
