Just gonna say this now, this isn’t a diagnosis. BUT… I think it’s heat illness. And this is an important reminder that exertional heat illness can develop quickly, even in elite-level athletes. As environmental temperature and exercise intensity increase, the body must balance two competing demands: delivering blood to working muscle and increasing blood flow to the skin for heat dissipation. Add significant sweat loss and dehydration, and cardiovascular strain can rise rapidly. The biggest 🚩 is central nervous system dysfunction confusion, disorientation, loss of coordination, or collapse. When those symptoms occur during intense exercise in the heat, exertional heat stroke should be considered until proven otherwise. In a suspected case, rapid recognition and immediate whole-body cooling are critical. Cool first, transport second. #athletictrainer #sportsmedicine #athletictraining #sportsrehab #physicaltherapy
