Your children do not need perfect parents.
They need parents who know how to repent.
Practice saying:
“I was wrong. Please forgive me.”
Say it to your children.
Say it to your spouse.
Say it without excuses, defensiveness, or shifting blame.
This is not weakness. It is spiritual leadership.
When we confess our wrong, we teach our family that humility is stronger than pride, repentance is safer than hiding, and grace is not merely something we talk about on Sundays.
It becomes the atmosphere of our home.
“Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed.” : James 5:16
A family shaped by grace is not a family without conflict.
It is a family that knows how to return to one another.
So today, take the first step.
Own your words.
Own your actions.
Ask for forgiveness.
Then model the gospel your family needs to see.
What would change in your home if repentance became normal?
