Stewardship begins in the ordinary. A bird feeder by the window. A small seedling in rich soil. A child learning to notice, nurture, and care. These moments may seem small, but they are shaping something sacred. When we teach children to care for God’s world, we are teaching more than responsibility. We are cultivating wonder. Reverence. Humble attention to the Creator and all He has made. Creation is not ours to exploit or ignore. It is entrusted to us. “The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it.” : Psalm 24:1 Faithful stewardship can look simple: Pause to watch the birds. Water what has been planted. Protect what is vulnerable. Give thanks for the life God sustains. This is spiritual formation in the ordinary: learning to receive creation with gratitude and tend it with care.
