These are the three cards from Magic: The Gathering—The Hobbit that I think have the best chance of breaking into cEDH. Gleaming Splendor offers mana and card advantage, The Queen of Dale can repeatedly recruit creatures during tutors and counter wars, and Smaug the Impenetrable has several one-card combo pieces waiting for him. Smaug is probably the least likely because he costs seven mana and depends heavily on staying in play—but the combo potential is real enough that I would not completely dismiss him.
