Just a short drive from the Twin Cities (or La Crosse), The Jewel is exactly that—an absolute gem. Pristine conditions, a wildly fun layout, dramatic Mississippi River bluff scenery, and one of the better values in the region at under $100. And honestly, getting there is half the experience. The early-morning drive along the Mississippi, with the haze slowly lifting off the river and the Midwest sun starting to break through, is about as enjoyable a pre-round drive as you’ll find. Then you pull into one of the deepest-cut rounds in the Midwest.
