Liam Ermer ’27 participated in Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center's SURE-CAN summer internship program, in which students explored cancer biology, imaging, genomics, AI and other emerging technologies while gaining hands-on research experience and valuable professional skills.
The six-week program culminated in a research symposium where the interns made formal scientific poster presentations of their research rationale, goals, and findings.

Ermer learned about the program through the CHS Medical Professionals Club, which gives students insight into medical careers through guest lectures, presentations, and hands-on guidance while the group also participates in community service and fundraising initiatives.
