#Repost: 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐧 𝐀𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐝: 𝐔𝐩𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐑𝐚𝐢𝐥 𝐂𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐬 Rail replacement work is expected to begin in Mebane on Monday, August 24, starting at the Redman Road rail crossing. Beginning the week of August 24, temporary rail crossing closures will be necessary as crews install new rail and complete asphalt work. Closures are expected to last approximately five days at each crossing. During each closure, no vehicle traffic will be permitted through the affected crossing. The affected rail crossings are: • Redman Road • Buckhorn Road • Mattress Factory Road • Fifth Street • Fourth Street • Third Street • Moore Road • Gibson Road Motorists should use available detours, follow posted signage, and allow additional travel time.
