China just made a major ruling on AI and jobs. 🇨🇳🤖 A Chinese court ruled that companies cannot simply fire employees because AI has taken over part of their work. The Hangzhou Intermediate People’s Court found an employee’s termination unlawful after AI automated part of his quality-assurance duties. The court said AI adoption alone isn't enough to justify dismissal without proper reassignment, consultation, or compensation. AI can replace tasks.
