Gov. Josh Shapiro signed an executive order Tuesday that restricts data center development in Pennsylvania. The order implements “GRID” — the Governor’s Responsible Infrastructure Development requirements. Shapiro had been an early supporter of data center development in the state, but there's been pushback from communities and local leaders.
