Behind the scenes at DZCA, a very special partnership has been buzzing away for years. Local apiarist Betsy is the steward of a honeybee colony that calls our campus home. Tending to her hives, supporting the health of her bees, and letting them do what they do best: pollinating the plants that make our Zoo so lush and vibrant. 🌸🐝 It's a beautiful example of the kind of thoughtful, sustainable partnerships that happen behind the scenes at DZCA every single day, ones that support pollinators, strengthen our campus ecosystem, and connect us more deeply to the natural world we're working so hard to protect. 🌿 Here's to Betsy and her incredible colony.
