The vote is delayed. Spartanburg County Council has pushed the third reading of a proposed countywide data center moratorium to its Sept. 21 meeting. Councilmember Monier Abusaft said the delay will allow the county to hold another public safety committee meeting and hear from residents, experts and other organizations about the potential environmental and community impacts of data centers. A date for that committee meeting has not yet been set.
