There’s been a lot of Flachbau talk post Monterey Car Week. A good time to remember where the road-going story started. The shape came from the 935, where Norbert Singer traded the 911’s upright front fenders for a flatter nose in the pursuit of less drag. It wasn’t long before the idea made its way to the street through Porsche’s Sonderwunsch program, eventually becoming the 930 Flachbau.
