“I have so much pride to be Filipino American, to be Asian American, and to be part of the broader Asian and Pacific Islander American community. That pride shapes everything I do, both in my work at UC San Diego and in the communities I’m part of beyond campus. I often describe my role as a special events and outreach coordinator in Electrical and Computer Engineering ucsandiegoece as being part of a high school Associated Student Body, just without the homework. I help create experiences that bring people together, support student organizations, and highlight the innovation happening across our department. Even though my work isn’t in the classroom, it still plays an important role in the overall student experience, and it’s rewarding to contribute to the futures our students are building.
