Back-to-School Month Grantee Highlight: The ROCK Center Mental health support shouldn’t have to wait until a young person reaches a crisis. That’s why Caring for Denver is proud to support The ROCK Center, whose Peace Warriors program brings trauma-informed, arts-based mental wellness programming directly into Denver schools and community spaces. Through creativity, connection, and community, Peace Warriors helps youth build the skills essential to long-term well-being, including meaningful relationships, healthy coping strategies, emotional regulation, confidence, and resilience. By embedding mental wellness into places youth already gather, the program reduces barriers like cost, stigma, and access to traditional clinical settings. The impact reaches beyond individual participants.
