Trust is very fragile, yet very precious. Imagine trust like a $10 million glass figurine. You probably wouldn't hand it to a guy with two broken hands, a drunk guy who's stumbling around, or a clumsy guy who falls all the time. Why? Because despite what they tell you, you can observe their condition, their behavior, and their history and predict the likely outcome. The same is true with trust. If you give your trust to someone who isn't proving they're worthy of it through their actions, their habits, and the way they live their life, and they eventually betray you, don't be surprised. You handed them the glass figurine. Observe what people do, not what they say. Trust should be treated like a precious gift.
