The crowd shattered the previous women's record of 14,410 set in 1999 and eclipsed the men's mark of 22,512 that had stood since 1980, as Keidane McAlpine's squad delivered a dominant performance worthy of the occasion in its first victory of the season. Sophomore forward Mya Townes got the party started in the 8th minute, slotting a left-footed finish past the James Madison goalkeeper against her parents' alma mater.
