August 12, 2026 Kentucky opened its 2026 season in dominant fashion, routing Detroit Mercy 6-0 behind goals from five different players, and doing so in a way that made program history. The Wildcats needed just 1:11 to get on the board, as Alexis Tylenda buried the opening goal to give Kentucky an early lead. From there, the floodgates opened. Alabama transfer Nadia Ramadan scored twice from the penalty spot to help Kentucky race out to a 3-0 advantage in under 20 minutes, and freshman Kyla Dawn tacked on another before halftime to send the Wildcats into the break up 4-0. Juliette Rayo and Dani Chaump each added a goal in the second half to complete the scoring. Kentucky dominated the shot chart from start to finish, outshooting Detroit Mercy 31 to 3 overall and 13 to 1 on goal. Rayo, Elle Price and Sydney Arendarczyk each picked up an assist along the way.
