Oklahoma opened its 31st season of soccer in record-breaking fashion, routing Northwestern State 9-0 behind a historic performance from Kayla Keefer that shattered multiple program marks.
The onslaught started almost immediately. Keefer scored in the fourth minute, then again in the eighth, and completed her hat trick in under 12 minutes, the fastest hat trick in Oklahoma soccer history. She was not finished, adding a fourth goal in the 58th minute to become the first Sooner ever to score four goals in a single match. Along the way, Oklahoma set a new team single-game scoring record, topping the previous mark of eight set against Missouri State back in 2024. Northwestern State's best look of the game came just four minutes in from senior Emily Gundin, but Oklahoma goalkeeper Callie Sullivan turned it away, and the Demons would not find the net all night.
