August 12, 2026 South Carolina opened its 2026 season with a 2 to 0 win over visiting Oregon State, holding off a feisty Beavers side that fought for the full 90 minutes in front of the Gamecocks' home crowd. South Carolina came out firing, putting together an early surge of chances that tested the Oregon State back line right from the opening whistle. The Beavers weathered that initial storm and managed to keep the Gamecocks off the board through the first half, even earning back-to-back corner kicks of their own in the 28th minute as they settled into the match.
