The Valley's first permanent outdoor Ferris wheel is now offering panoramic views of some of the region's most recognizable landmarks. The Boardwalk Big Wheel opened Monday at Arizona Boardwalk as part of the entertainment destination’s 10th anniversary celebration. Standing 80 feet tall, the new attraction features 18 fully enclosed, climate-controlled gondolas, each holding up to six people. Riders get 360-degree views of the McDowell, Black, Mummy, Four Peaks and Camelback mountains.
