Someone has unofficially turned a Canon EOS 550D DSLR into a playable DOOM machine using Magic Lantern software loaded from an SD card. 📷🎮 The experimental port lets you play DOOM using the camera’s physical controls and rear dial, save and load progress from the SD card, choose from up to 32 compatible WAD files, and even run music and sound effects. It can also display the game fullscreen using the camera’s 720×480 display buffer. The project runs as a custom Magic Lantern module on the EOS 550D — also known as the Rebel T2i and Kiss X4 — giving developers access to the camera’s display, controls, storage, and audio hardware without replacing Canon’s original firmware. Because apparently, if a device has a screen and some processing power, someone will eventually ask: “Can it run DOOM?” 😂 What other device would you want to see running DOOM? 👀🎮 👉👉Follow aiupdates.hub for daily insights that keep you ahead in AI, Tech and Robotics Sources: Doom550D GitHub • Magic Lantern •...
