Konrad Reczko has built a real-time AI depth model that runs entirely on the GPU using TypeGPU. 🤯 The 448×448 monocular depth model reportedly completes inference in around 8 ms on an M4 Pro, using roughly 250 dispatches. Because the model is implemented directly in TypeGPU, the generated depth information can move straight into the lighting stage without having to leave the GPU. Even more interesting, AI inference, lighting, and rendering can all run through the same command encoder, reducing additional synchronization and interop overhead. The result is depth-aware lighting running fast enough for real-time applications — combining AI inference and graphics processing in a remarkably efficient pipeline. 👉👉Follow aiupdates.hub for daily insights that keep you ahead in AI, Tech and Robotics Credit: reczko_konrad on X #AI #TypeGPU #GPUComputing #RealTimeRendering #ComputerVision
