For all those asking how to get a job in Forensics, this one is for you!⁣ Lekha is one of our forensic officers in the Victoria Police Forensic Service Centre. 👩‍🔬⁣ ⁣ She joined our Biological Sciences Group as a temporary cover over two years ago, later securing a job as a lab technician with Fingerprints.⁣ ⁣ In her current role as a forensic officer, she applies an array of scientific techniques to detect and examine fingerprints on evidence from crime scenes.⁣ ⁣ Prior to working at Forensics, Lekha completed a double degree in Forensics Science and Criminology with Honours, after which she worked at The Victorian Institute of Forensic Medicine in a summer job.⁣ ⁣ This work experience put her in good stead when applying for roles at the Victoria Police Forensics Services Department.⁣ ⁣ Like many around her, Lekha hopes to stay at Forensics for as long as she can, continuing to learn and develop as a forensic officer.⁣ ⁣ #NationalScienceWeek
