Nearly a year after Roe v. Wade was overturned by the Supreme Court, the art exhibition ‘1973’ showcased work from women artists from the year the decision was made to legalize abortion across the country.    The art, on display at the Frieze New York fair and using a wide variety of mediums including glass, copper, wool fiber and leather, was shown as individual states currently enact an increasing number of abortion restrictions and bans.   Most of the art had in common a neutral color palette — a hint at the challenges faced by many female artists 50 years ago, Michael Rosenfeld Gallery Director Halley K Harrisburg says. #Reuters #news #abortion #roevwade #roe #supremecourt #art #artfair #Frieze #painting #sculpture #video #videonews
